Spinnenweber Builders, Inc. (SBI) is a family owned real estate investment development company. J. D. Spinnenweber, President, directs the day-to-day operations of SBI, assisted by his two sons, Dan Jr. and William, SBI’s holdings are concentrated in the Village of Mariemont, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. Here SBI owns and operates substantial commercial properties, including an upscale boutique hotel known as the Best Western Premier Mariemont Inn.
Currently the two sons own a LLC that manages the hotel under the name of Spinnenweber Asset Management (SAM). SBI is currently expanding its holdings in the Village; however, it is also looking for investment opportunities with more management intensive requirements in the hotel industry. Spinnenweber Builders, Inc. was chartered in 1955 by the four sons of John N. Spinnenweber, a Real Estate Broker. J. D. Spinnenweber is the survivor and second generation of the real estate business. SBI has constructed numerous single family and multi-unit residential projects in the Cincinnati area and in Florida. The Mariemont Inn was acquired in 1962 and was operated along with other Florida lodging facilities. A split of the assets and principals of SBI occurred in the 70’s and the current ownership was established. After three decades of commercial real estate development and management in Cincinnati and Florida SBI has drawn back it holdings and consolidated them in the current location.
